hi im new to the forum and just wonted to ask some questions. I have a 180 litre fish tank I set it up 3 days ago it has a filter(fluval u4)and a heater. I have put in Nutrafin Cycle in for 3 days and I was just wondering when do I start adding ammonia to do a fish-less cycle and do I put plants in when im doing a fish-less cycle or not.

I don't think Cycle actually does anything; not IME anyway. You want to be adding ammonia as soon as you can get your hands on some :good:

In general, it's better to fishless cycle with a bare tank; add the plants after, as they absorb some ammonia and can disrupt the cycle.

+1 - get the ammonia in there ASAP, leave out the plants, get the temp up to 30 + cover the tank in a sheet if you like as it will help prevent any algae issues :)

Is this the tank that you're moving the fish from your 60l into?

If it is, you don't need to cycle it; you can just move all the media from your old filter into the new one, and move the fish immediately.
