I am sorry to post something similar to my last emergency, but situation changed, and I need help right away. I came home a little while ago, to find one of my ten ghost shrimp dead. It looked like it was cooked. It was solid white and a little pink, with a red dot on it. I might have been mistaken, but I think another shrimp swam by with green and white fuzz balls stuck to its legs, but I haven't seen it since, so I am not sure. One of my female guppies is dead. When I removed her, she looked ok, but was very thin. Another female is now sitting on the gravel, she swims once in a while, but her dorsal fin is stuck to her. It is not up at all. No other fish seem weird. I have no idea what is going on. I am putting pics of the dead shrimp, and sick guppy. I am also putting a link to the other post so you can get more info. You can also read about what fish I have and the size tank.
STATS:
pH-7.0
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-80
Temp-79*

Any chance your test kits are off? I think it might be your water quality, but your results show good??

Don't think so. I just bought the test kit when I made the first post. It was expensive, and in a sealed box. Besides, the test kit I used in the very first post a few days ago was off, that's why I bought this one. Not sure what else to do

I would do a 25-30% water change immediately. Then re-test again. You may want to turn off the tank lights (it helps reduce stress from what I've read), too. Even if everything else is ok, it seems the nitrates are a little high. You should aim to keep them around 40 and lower. Do you have live plants in it? If so, are there very many? Also, make sure you use a dechlorinator/heavy metal remover with each water change. And double-check your filter to make sure it is working properly.
I'm stumped at what it could be, since your readings seem ok. After you do another water change, post your stats and any changes again.
Good luck, and sorry for your problems.

Sounds like columnaris abit to me, the red patches are they big or small.

The red spot was just on the ghost shrimp. and the fuzz was on another shrimps legs. The female that died looked perfectly fine, just a bit thin. The other female is still sitting on the bottom with her dorsal fin clamped to her body, when she gets up and swims, her fins stand up the right way. Now, my silver lyretail molly has a few small white dots on her tail. I haven't seen the shrimp with the fuzz on it's legs again, so maybe I was mistaken about it before. My creamsicle molly's tail is black right along the edge, both mollies are acting right besides that. Not sure what to do now.
New Stats (double checked at lfs too)
pH-6.8
Nitrite-0
Ammonia-0
Nitrate-40-50
Temp. 79*

I'm worried why the fish that died was skinny, did she eat well, as i'm thinking she might off had internal parasites, did she die in the tank, and can you remember what it looked like when she went to the toilet, check on the other as well for going to the toilet, is it long white and stringy.

She did eat most of the time. I have checked them all for parasites. No white stringy or strange poop. She did die in the tank. Kinda upside down on her side behind the ornament in the tank.

I would do some water changes for a day or two,how many gallons is the tank, can you name all the stock in the tank, how many and which kind, you have quite a high nitrate reading there it want's fetching down, what is your nitrate reading from the tap.

I will do water changes, I am going to do one as soon as I get back from the market, and will test the tap water too. My nitrates actually came down since last night. It was 80 last night, now it is 40-50. I have a 35 gal. tank. I have 1 creamsicle molly, one black molly, one silver lyretail molly. 2 neon tetra's one baby neon, 1 dwarf gouramie, 3 male guppies 5 female guppies (had 7) one died, another went in to a nursery tank) 1 sunset mickey mouse platy, 1 guppy fry, 1 mystery tetra(not even sure if it is a tetra), 1 chocolate albino pleco, 9 ghost shrimp and some snails

Good god, lol, it sounds like you need another filter running in the tank with all that stock, your nitrates are high and the filter is not coping with the fish load, this is why you are beginning to get desease in your tank, always best to over filter a tank, and always over filter if you over stock, just buy another filter and put a sponge for your old filter in there.

I will add another filter. Exactly how many fish is ok for a 35 gal. tank. I thought I was fine with small fish.

I wouldn't add anymore one inch to a gal i think, how big does that plec get as they are big waste producers, if you add another filter you will get better water quality, does the tank look abit cloudy.

The plec is getting big, but I am going to try to rehome him. The tank is actually very very clear since I added plants to it
