4 neon tetra and 3 zebra danio.. Danio chasing tetra , nibbling tetra tail, please help what can I do, can't take them back until morning :/ aaaah

This sounds like very normal behavior for danios being kept in too low numbers, I would be very surprsied if things did not improve by adding at least another 3 Zebra Danio, ideally something like 7. They become quite fiesty in small numbers, not only with their own kind, but also with tankmates.

However, I would not keep Neon tetras and Zebra Danios together long term, the danios are far more sub-tropical and so would do better in a typically heaterless tank that sits at around 18C for most of the year. In addition, Zebra Danios are hyperactive fish, they deserve a 3-foot tank at the very least and in my opinion would make good use of a 4-footer.

So you asked yesterday if they would get along but didnt bother taking any of the advice given to you as you got them anyway, what was the point in asking!?!

He has a 7 gallon tank with 2 different types of fish that need to be keep in groups of 6 or more. On top of that the both like different water conditions and one needs a tank 3 feet long. I think this is another case of uninformed leading to stupid. Honestly it sounds like the way most of us got started in fish keeping.

P.S. I just looked at the other thread and saw the time stamps. From the time the first question was ask to the time "oops, I screwed up" is only 19 hours. Maybe it would be a good idea to wait for advice after asking a question before you go ahead and jump off that cliff.

Well, I think we all have done impulsive things in the past, when we were getting started. I know I ignored some good advice back then. Now you know, the advice given here is pretty spot on. You might want to consider a larger tank. You would have way more options. Even a standard 15 gallon 24" tank would open up your options a lot more.
