Help Needed!

Hey everyone.

My tanks currently running a 300 Watt Heater.
It's in a chamber inside the filter. Now my friend who also keeps fish
has told me to put some Nodes into the chamber with the heater

They will touch the lower part of the heater though.
Will this be a problem?

The filter is built into the tank behind a kinda plastic shield that cuts the back part of the tank off from the rest and theres 4 Chambers

1 - Sponge Chamber
2 - Heater Chamber
3 - Wool/Nodes
4 - Outward

Heres a picture of the filter, Can someone tell me where to put what

Bare in mind Outward Chamber 4 can't be changed.
I wanna use the Nodes in the filter.
I can move the heater to the 3rd chamber if thats any use?
Please help!!

Also the filter drain area is gaps at the bottom of the tank theres smallish openings for water to flow through.

ive been told and read coarse media first (nodes,ceramic hoops,alpha grog ect)
then sponge
then floss/wool but sometimes wool goes first but i find it works well is working from coarse to fine

Thanks but that won't work.
#4 has the pump sealed in it, And the opening is at the bottom so any media in there will be useless.
Also there isn't enough nodes to fill #1
