what would be the best kind of plant to grow on drift wood? anyone any advice on how to make it flourish?
also what would be the best plants to put in a tank with fish already in it?

thanks x

Mosses do well on wood and are the most common plant you'd see i think. Other than that, anubius is another one you see on wood. Both need attaching with fishing line or something similar

yea thanks :) i read the pinned topic lastnight and thought starting this topic was a waste of time lol :look: that pinned topic was really helpful but wat about java fern? i really would like some on my drift wood when i buy a few bits of it. i like the raccirus or what ever its called too.
dya reckon corydoras would love a patch of that? do they eat it?

java fern looks good on drift wood. Again, it'll need to be attached using fishing line or something similar.

Dont use fishing line  as the plant grows the ryzome will expand and fishing line doesnt rot, so the fishing line will cut into the ryzome and could do some damage or affect growth. Instead use black or brown cotton, this rots relativly quick, same goes for moss.
Remember, even though your on a low light tank, a plant liquid feed will help your ferns and moss a great deal! Tetra PlantGrow is a good start.

Never thought about the fishing line not rotting. Good idea to use cotton instead.
