I have very small pretty much white dots on the side of my tank. They move around kinda quick Anyone know what they are? Like my tank just finished cycling so i added my first fish which is a male betta. I just would like to knwo if they can harm him.

ok i have 14 views on this could someone seriously help out? i need to know if i should remove him from the tank

wow

i havent heard of this, i think you should take the fighter out though just in case. have you got any pictures?

no, no pics here. There literally so small my camera can eve pick them up. I'm gonna go to petco and pick up some anti crustaceans stuff.

Try googling planeria. They are sometimes seen in new or overfed tanks.

If it isn'tl planeria and isn't bothering your fish I wouldn't see a need to get worried.

Have you seen your fish trying to pick at it or eat it?
How often do you clean the tank? Such as scrub the walls.
Do you have algae problems at all?

i had qutie the same problem, except they were browny/yellowy/sometimes white
mine were about 1mm in diameter and mostly stayed on objects--mostly under my gravel
do you have gravel at the bottom of your tank?
i tried to completly scrub my tank down and get rid of them...but when i put the gravel back [i boiled that too]
they just came back, so i gave up on the gravel. and then i bought larger rocks [2inches about] and went for that look
and ever since my switch...no little bug thingers
