hi last night i seen what i thought was ich on my black molly so i treated it right away however today when i looked at her she still has what seems to be ich but her eyes have clouded over what is this? can it be treated? and is it contagious? any advice is grateful thanks joe

Need to know ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and pH. There are lots of possible causes for cloudy eyes, including poor water quality, which is also a possible cause of ich.

the water paras are ok ph 7.6
ammonia 0
nitrate 25
nitrite 0

this can be from parasites or from a bacterial infection. are there any signs of a secondary bacterial infection beginning? signs of fungus, dropsey, red streaks, open sores, etc?

hi theres no other signs apart from the ich looking spots and so far its only my black molly who seems to have the conditions ie ich and cloudy eyes do you think this will spread to the other fish in my tank ?

not very active mainly staying in the one spot and if she does move its not very far

Go ahead and add an anti internal bacteria med. I'm still not sure if it is bacterial or not, but since you are from the UK, your bacterial meds are not that strong. So rather than wait and see, its probably better to treat it now if it is bacterial.

ok thanks ....................and if by popeye u mean the eyes are swolloen out well yes but its just one of them and its this thats cloudy

Yeah, thats pretty significant also. Definatly sounds bacterial, combining the cloudy eye with pop-eye.
