my convicts are doing my head in as they have breeded n now they keep attackin everything (Except the black ghost knife) we have a little tank with guppies in and a bigger one with guppy adults in, shud i put all guppies in 1 tank and the convicts in the other, the tanks very small tho so shud i just put the fry in or will it affect the adult cons (parents) please let me know as its doing my head in now i dont want my sevs or anyother fish getting killed or hurt, i cud even put the adults in the little tank for abit just till they calm down, any ideas any1.... ????
thanks alot

How big is the tank you're considering putting them into and how old are the fry?

It's best to have breeding cons in a species tank because of their aggression when breeding. Moving the fry may sort out the situation now but in a few weeks you'll have the same problem again so it'd be much better to move the parents as well.

Depending on the size of the other tank, a divider is probably your best friend right now to save your other fish.

i havce put the cons in another tank as they were 2 vicious for the sevs n everything else in the big tank, the tank the cons r in is not very big but im thinking about getting rid of the adult convicts 2 the LFS as i didnt realised they were a breeding pair and i cant be bothered with all the carry on plus the other tank aint big enuff for them, ill av 2 wait till the frys abit bigger then give them 2 the LFS aswell. theyve been hatched about 4 days now n theyre in another tank with the adults, when shud i take the adults out n takeem back 2 the LFS ? i shud leave therm with the fry for abit first shudnt i ?

Maybe you should take the fry and parents back together? ANy group of fry will just end up pairing off again and making new babies for you :)
