my mate has just sent me a pic to ask if his guppy is pregnant.. im not sure so i thought id ask you guys

i can see tle black spot but the pic is not very good...

Possibly very early stages of pregnancy. You should know in a few days for sure though.

Apart from the obvious belly getting larger, the gravid spot (the black bit behind her tum underneath) will get darker and larger - this is the fry developing inside her.


Only expect around 25 fry from a 1st birth - if you get 10 survivors from the first birth I would be happy with the result.
