Help Needed...fish Needed...

hi..i have set up a tropical fish tankd for my two kids,and after forking out on a trigon 350 and all the bits that go with it ie.heater.air..filter and plants n things..am finding it a bit of a struggle to put anything in there...can any one help?
looking for anything that will go with other fish..i can arrange collection in the essex area??
