my newest betta female has expanded to a huge size, i am assuiming she is filling with eggs. today she refused to eat at all. yesterday i replaced her filter with a new pad and placed a heater in her tank since the temputure has started to turn towards th cool side. today i found her spending most f her time staring at the heater (you no like a kid in front of a video game) she moves around. the only odd thing about her tank is her snail suddely started floating yesterdayi removed it and replaced with another (both black mysteries).
i am unable to test priamaters at the moment because i am now at work.

please someone know whats going on?

Are you sure this is not an internal bacteria infection? Your snail dying and the bloating makes me think this is what is going on. It could just be constipation.

Try feeding her a boiled pea and cease trying to feed her pellets for a couple days. Go ahead and do a 50% water change as well.

Can you see any pineconing when you look at her from above?

no but i am looking for it, thats what i lost my first betta livingston too.
i will cut off her food for a day, she just got a pea the other day. i do think she was also nibbling a bit on the snails alge waffer too the bettas seem to like that stuff to

I noticed that also. When Fauna was in with a cory she would nibble at the alge wafers to. Re Mz has a good idea, feed the pea and then fast for a day. Hopefuly that will help.
