Last night, one of my x-rays looked awfully swollen all of a sudden. They're brothers, so I thought "he" was constipated. While trying to decide what the heck to do, I saw a baby x-ray dart by. Ooops. He's a she!

My tank has 1 betta, 1 red-wag platy and 2 x-rays. At least as of last night, there were three baby x-rays. I couldn't find them this morning, but that doesn't mean much. I don't know what to do. I don't have another tank to take the adults out of.

Are the babies doomed to be consumed? I have several hiding spots already, but the betta seems to be especially interested in the places they were hiding.

What to do??? Is there something to put in the tank to let them hide better? It's a hex-shaped tank so a divider is probably out of the question.

HELP!?!?

The only thing is a breeder that hangs in the tank, but they are very small and don't rate them much.
If there plenty of hiding spaces and plants they might make it.
Good luck.

all you can do if you cant add a divider is add plants.. dense plants where the babies can hide
