For the past 2 days my brothers platy has been not really swimming unless and anglefish chases him, propping himself in spaces in the gravel and sit there for forever. He hasn't eaten much and im really worried. My brother is pulling my hair out begging me as what is going on!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!! :shout:

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and ph.
Is the angel stressing the platy out.
Once fish start to rest on things in the tank not good news.
Does the platy look pale or darker in colour.
Signs of bacterial infectins with no symtoms are being pale or darker in colour,
being listless and lethatic and not eating.

Five fish, three platys and 2 angelfish
no clue
sometimes when he's resting an angelfish will come and chase him away
uh oh
he's orange so i can't really tell

well he has theselittle brownish spots on top of his head? could this be the reason. i mean he has plaenty of room to swim in and he has other platies with him so he's not alone.

oh and the tank is 10 gallons. i set it up 5 days ago and got fish 4 days ago.

The brown spots how big are they.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing.
Do you keep snails in the tank.

Didn't see the last bit in your post.
Angel fish need 25 gallon tank so I would take them back to the lfs as the tanks way to
small for them.
I think you better go to beginner and read up on a cycling tank.

They will like rub and flick on things in the tank.
Show a torch on the fish to see if the brown spot glow up a golden colour.
Turn tanks lights out when you shine the torch on the fish.
Dosn't make any difference if the angels are small the tank is to small.
