I'm not sure what to do. I have a 55 gallon tank with about 15 fish in it, Including a molly(male) that I've had since the beginning and a molly(female) I added about a week ago. She was pregnant and had her babies about 1 day ago. Tonight I noticed most of her beautiful tail was gone and there were some scales missing from the rest of her body. She just hids in the corner now. Why would the others eat her?? She was perfectly healthy. What should I do about her? I have 2 needle nose gars in the tank but they don't mess with the other fish since they are good size besides, I have rosy reds in the tank for them. I also have somebottom feeders but I'm not sure what theyre called and I actually caught one eating a rosy red today. Also I don't have any cichlids.

:hi: to the forum. It seems as though you haven't introduced yourself in the newbie section. Please tell us a little about yourself. :D

What are the other fish in your tank? How long has she been like this (I take it that it has been a day, at most)?

If it has only been like that for a little while, then it is most likely another fish. Hwever, if she has been like that for over a few days, then the tail would have wasted away because of fungal or bacterial fin rot. Scales could come off because of presatory fish such as cichlids, if you happen to have them in your tank. It might also be some sort of disorder, but, unfortunately, I would not know anything about that. :/
