Hello.
I purchased 9 mollies yesterday, and they're in a 35 gallon tank and loving life. However, one of them became ill last night (around 1am) and started to rest on his side. My mother and I both thought that he was dying, so I took him out (so the other mollies wouldn't get sick/eat him alive). When I woke up, I *thought* he was dead. I went to school and came home two hours later to bring him back to the pet store. But, then, he started to swim viciously around the fish bowl I had placed him in... obviously not dead. I still brought him back to the store, but I refused to return him because he is (in my opinion) fighting for his life. The girl said that he has no external parasites and does not know what is wrong with him, and that it was okay for me to put him back in the tank with the other mollies. I came home, put him in the tank, and all was well. He was swimming around but then he began to sit down on the gravel. Another molly would come up to him and he would swim away.. A few hours later, he had gone back to lying on his side and the same fish kept bugging him, but now he wouldn't swim away and went upside down. So I took him out and placed him in an old betta tank that I had so I could put my bubbler in it so he has oxygen. Now he's just floating, nose in to the gravel and tail up in the air.. breathing but not moving. I have a feeling that he is going to die, but this guys a fighter. He was a bully before all this happened, too  I'm hoping whatever it is will be easy to fix, or at least won't kill him. So I'm hoping you guys can help point me in the right direction of what to do.

I've had guppies do this on me. Typically (If they live for any length of time) They develop dropsy, fin rot or ich - some form of infection or disease due to compromised immune system as well as a significant change in water conditions (So from the store to your home tank)
Now I'm not saying that your fish has any of the illnesses I mentioned, it probably has some sort of internal problem, whether it's a disease or parasite, if you bought them all from the same tank and none of the others show signs, it's probably safe to put him back in the tank.
If you can't diagnose the problem the chances are he will die, but putting him in the tank with other mollies will help him stay calm and make his last little while more enjoyable because he won't be as stressed by being in a confined tank all by his lonesome.

(http://animal-world.com/encyclo/fresh/information/Diseases.htm) I suggest looking at sights like this and trying to match symptoms that match what your molly has.

So, I should put him back in the tank even though one of the fish were bugging/nibbling him?

He died in the night, and it appears that a different (pregnant) white molly also died through the night... and my black moor (different tank.. had for about a year) developed a white, peeling ring around both of his eyes over night... clearly not a good time for me or my fish.
Can anyone direct me to a suitable website to find out about my black moor? :-( I'll be asking the people at the pet store about it later today....
