Now, one of my guppies gave birth to the first batch of fry to ever grace my tank on sunday, but she has been acting 'weird' ever since. I put it down to stress from birth on monday and even tuesday, but yesterday she was lying quietly on the gravel in the corner. However, right now, she is on her side, in the middle of the tank with her gills going like the clappers!

Being a sentimental old fool, I'd like to save her, and know if her time is up (she was preggers when i got her so have no idea of her age and if it was one birth too many) or if she has something else as the other two females are getting bigger and hope they don't catch it!

Really hope you can help!

Females can get really exhausted from birthing. My molly just gave birth and the stress gave her fin-fungus! It is sometimes a good idea to quarantine 'mummy' for up to about 1 week afterwards so she can fully recover in peace. I would try that. Good luck. :good:
