Help My Fluval 404 Is Sucking Up My Fry

I have recently changed my filter over to a Fluval 404 and it is sucking up my fry and suggestions on how to prevent this??

ive always found filter floss elastic banded round the intake always prevents this happening

Another way is to get one of the sponge socks that go on bubble filters and put that over the pipe.
Thys are about 2 quid from your local friendly fish shop
