help..... my fish eat all of my plants

ok so I put this new plant in a few hours ago.... and poof.... they ate it all . What do you all do to prevent this from happening?

I have 2 Calico fantails, 2 Black moors, and a Sailfin Pleco

You could try java ferns or anubias, fish don't eat these. Or try supplemetning their diet with veg in an attempt to distract them from the plants?
