Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior): Ammonia burn, white poop

I have quick cure and salt on hand if needed for treatment

I didn't feed my fish this morning to bring down ammonia levels

My tank has 2 bubble curtains so it is very well airated. I have an aquaclear 70 and an aquatech 10-20 power filter on my tank for filtration.

Need to rehome some goldfish massive waste producers and i doubt one filer in the tank is coping with them , it 20gal for the first goldfish alone, then ten gals for every other one added.
They will die off ammonia poisoning, water changes, and get them rehomed as quick as possible should only have four of them in that size tank.

Well a goldie just passed away this morning so that brings me down to 8. The soonest that I could do a water change is today after school. Kow much sould I do? I was thinking of somewhere between 40%-60%. It's going to be so hard to choose which ones to keep. I just remembered that when I used quick cure a couple of weeks ago I took out the carbon and now forgot to put it back in. Could that have been the problem? The goldies should start getting better once I do a large waterchange and put the carbon back in the filter.

For a common goldfish you are looking at 1 for that size tank. You have to see tham as the same as Oscars. You cant put an oscar in a 20 gallon.
You need a filter with lots of media in it and do daily water changes of 60% until you can re home the fish.
It sounds like internal bacteria problems so you may lose a few more.

Thanks everybody for the advice. I just did a 50% waterchange a while ago and now some of the fish are all just laying on the bottom and the other ones don't seem very active.

Not good then.
What are your present stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate.
I would rehome some of them fast as they going to die of ammonia poisoning.

Have you got any tubs around the house that hold a few gallons so you can at least get fresh water?
If not then do as much as you can in water changes for a few days, even if it means 80% three times a day.
Dont give up on them

Of course I won't give up on them, I do have plastic 40 and 55 gallon tubs around the house but last time I tried that the bulged out so much and I think they were about to burst! What do you think the white poop means? Thanks everybody for all the help. I think I'm going to keep my fish until the end of September and then see if I can find all of them new homes because since I have had so many problems with them in the short time that I have had them i don't think goldfish are the right fish for me and I'd hate to see them like this anymore.
