Im freaking out at the moment - one of my black widows has gone "weird".

Its swimming on its side - like it cant balance anymore. It can still swim, it just seems "weighed down".

Sometimes it just lays on the bottom of the tank on its side, but then it starts swimming again......

Its been like this for about two days now, the rest of the tank inhabitants are fine.

any help would be appreciated! I dearly love my black widows!

Swim bladder.
What do you feed your fish?
Bacterial med.
Shelled peas, cook peas for a few minutes, let cool down, pop out of shell, mush between fingers and add to the tank.

Great! Thanks!

Will swim bladder kill it? I'll rush out first thing and get some medi for it!

Will the peas ruin the water? What does it do for it?

No they wont ruin the water they are fine.

they help with swim bladder problems. You should try to feed them your fish every week or 2 as they are very good for them.

Do as wilder said really, its not a 100% cure but the sooner you start the better.
