I have 3 pieces of bogwood in soak at the minute and 2 of them are floating. I have them both weighted down with pieces of slate so I hope they stay down in my tank when they go in. Anybody had anything like this and if so what is the solution?? I don't mind weighting them down in the tank because I can use some large pebbles I bought today to tie them to but ideally I want them to sink on there own!!

How long have you been soaking the wood?

You can soak it and wait it out, or you can anchor it to a piece of slate and just go in and remove the slate at a later time. Your choice, really.

That's a relief!! It's only been in soak since yesterday!! This is only the 2nd time I have used bogwood and the last bits just sunk straight away. I maybe ready for it by the end of the week so if it is still floating I will do what you suggested.

thanks very much riverman
