I bought a beta fish and 3 guppies. I made sure the water was cycled, everything was clean. They had done very well for around a week but when I woke up, all 3 guppies died and one was missing an eye. In the pet store he seemed fine with other guppies. I am very sad about this.

What size is the tank? It might help to know how you cycled, and any current water test numbers.

But I will jump ahead and say that male Betta are not community fish, and fish like guppies frequently aggravate them more than some other species. So it would not surprise me if the guppies were harassed and killed by the Betta. Please leave the Betta on its own, it will be happier and thus healthier.
