Help Me Please!

Hello i am just new to this i recieved an african fish from a friend and he wasnt sure what it was he had gotten it and was told its an african fresh water fish thanks

Anyway you can post a picture, or at least give a detailed description. The first thing that comes to mind is an african cichlid. However, there are over 300 species, so a pic or description is needed.

Yep as mentioned above a picture would be nice. Could be any type of cichlid.
