hi,
firstly :hi: to tff,
how longs your tank been running for? do you have a test kit or could you get one asap, because you will need to test for ammonia ,nitrite and nitrate, for now do a 25% water change, i would post in the emergancy section with all this info there the post will been seen by many more people ready to help,
ps i could not find an all black with red tail cat unless he has a white belly id say you may have a red tail black shark, grow to 6inch, hth all the best donna :) .

hi donna123,

thanks !!!

one and an half week. No, don t realy know what to look foras a test kit .
Done the water change, and it looks like it worked, early in the morning he was half way dead, know he looks ok, and is almost back to normal, been on our friend google ...and yes it is a red tale black shark.

can t say how much i thankyou for the tip....and yes now i know where the emergency bit is ...

sorry ppl for weird introduction in the forum .....i am very noobie with fish, so if ya all let me ...i ll be around and squeeze all my future knowledge of you... :p

once again thankyou very much Donna!!!

That fish you describe sounds like a red tailed black shark, hope not though as they need a 40gal tank, plus being in that size tank will make him for aggressive then they are.
Need full stock list of fish.
