help me plan my tank

I have no idea at all of what to get. Peacocks seem to confussing as well as all the others! Even though i dont like the Mbunas, that seems as if it is what I must get.

I need to be able to put my Synodontis eupterus.

I am okay with electric yellows though. They will add a nice splash of color, but I dont want anything else that is to bright.

How about a harem of one type of aulonocara, and small colony of Lab. Caerueleus, You can also put in a couple of smaller male Haplichromines, like placidochromis or copadichromis.
Your Synodontis would do well in a tank like this, and these fish will all work with diet, behavior, and, for those who feel it's an issue, water parameters. This will also make for an impressive show tank.
