Help me fill in my 20g!

I have an empty 20 US gallon. I'm thinking of eventually putting in some fine sand and 3 to 5 kuhli loaches, and an african butterfly fish for the top. Is there anything else I can fit in there? I wouldn't be able to put in any top-dwelling fish, any fin-nippers, or anything that might eat a young kuhli. Maybe a bristlenose to keep algae under control? Let me know if you guys have any good ideas for me!

I would only get 3 loaches with it only being a 20 gal, make sure your filter is up to the job.

Yeah, i was probably only going to go for 3 anyway. But do you think I can/should put anything else in the tank? If so, any ideas? Or are the 3 kuhlis and african butterfly too close to the limit?

You can add a few more but don't forget that the african butterfly will eat smaller fish if he gets near them, and they are good jumpers.

Put in a dwarf gourami as well...
