Help, Large White Spots (Picture)

i left my betta fish in the care of my fish-owning neighbor while i was gone on vacation. he failed to take good care of artemis and now he has large white spots. what is this?

its called... well white spot. there are numorus meds at petstores for this so do not worry to much.

REALLY?? Does THAT pic look like white spot to you?? SURE DOES NOT

that is certainly not white spot (aka ich). if it were it would be like grains of sand sprinkled over the fish. to me looks more like an injury that is going fuzzy. doesnt look like classic columnaris but has the same basic appearance.
i suggest doing partial water changes every day and adding a small amount of AQUARIUM salt to the tank for the next week. see if he improves. also can turn the temp in the tank down a degree or so until it heals.
how is his behavior otherwise? still eating and swimming around as normal? any other strange symptoms besides the white patch?
