Help! Is My Fish Pregnant Or Jus Fat.....

can anyone help me.

i woke up this morning to find that my female swordtail was floating around at the top the tank unpsidedown. fearing the worst i dot my small net out, and found that she was unable to 'sink' down to the bottom. she is quite large, and i do think she is pregnant, but can;t be sure since this is the first group of fish we've ever had.

can anyone help please

Hi there and welcome

It sounds like your fish has swim bladder problem,which isn't too good.

Try giving her a cooked frozen pea,take the shell off and squash it up,apart from that i'm not really sure what can be done for her.

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable may be able to help

so u dont think she is pregnant?....cuz it does look like she's carryin a large numbe of eggs

she could be pregnant and have a swimbladder problem.....when they get this problem they usually cant control there swimming..swimmin upside down or spiraling when swimmin....soemtimes its causd by an intestinal blockage, used a defrosted pea de-shell mush it up to bit sized pieces...that should work as a laxative and clean her out or use epsom salts...which i dont knw how to use, but if you do a search or ask your local lfs they should help
