Help: Injured Jack Dempsi

I have a Jack Dempsi that got real beat up in the last day by a chiclid. He is breathing normally and seems to be swimming but he is hurting bad, NMissing a good part of his tail and he took a couple shots to the body. I took the chiclid out and put him in his own tank...Anythin i can do to gurentee he lives?!?! He's real beat up and he's a nice Electric Blue Jack too!
