I have a tank of 54 litres, would you advice me to buy a molly fishes, I have read that they grow up to 10 cm.

You could get 2-3 Mollies if you wanted too....but I'd go for a smaller Livebearer, like Platies or Guppies. It will just give them more room to swim around, and you can have a bigger school. :)

Edit: Toxis, It's barely 14 gallons, not 16. ;)

54litres is about 16 US gals so you would be able to fit about 4mollys in there, 1 male and 3females or just all males or females :) .

EDIT: Ah my mistake, 2-3 mollys then it is :)

I'd go with the platies. They are that little bit smaller, but very active and inquisitive. Just remember to get the male-female ratio right (2-3 females per male) or you can keep females only (they are just as colourful). Also, take care to stock slowly- unless you do a fishless cycle first. If I were you I would read up on the fishless cycle pinned topic.
