Hey, my fish just recently had ich and I was here asking about it. Thankfully, they seem to have recovered, but now I'm having some problems with one of my gouramis. He's always been very hardy and fairly active, but for the past few days he's been getting more and more lethargic until now he's just sitting at the bottom of the tank, breathing heavily. What really freaks me out about the whole thing is, just today, I noticed he seems to have weird little white growths at the end of each feeler -- they look to be made out of the same stuff as ich specks, but they're a larger and kind of fuzzy... It's tough to describe, and definitely weird. Does anybody know what's going on? Is this still ich, or something else? Is there any hope for my gourami?

Sorry to hear about the problems you're having. What kind of gourami? How old is he? What are your water parameters? How long did you treat for ich and how? How big is your tank and how long has it been set up?

Do large waterchange in the tank and smaller ones every day for a week and see if it sorts itself out. Slowly lower tank temp to around 76 if you are able to slow the growth if it is a fungus. Keep water clean as possible and watch for improvement or if rapidly spreading get back to the boards.
Hopefully clean water will sort it for you with no need for meds.
Cheers
