Hello, I am a Mbu Puffer Fish called Puff who is desperately in need of a new home. I am beautiful, very friendly and love attention. I measure 22 inches from the tip of my mouth to the end of my tail, about 5-6 inches wide and 4-5 inches tall.

I have grown too big for my current home and require something bigger.

I live in tropical freshwater and I’m compatible with many small and medium size fish. I live on a diet of muscles and cockles in their shells (so that my teeth don’t get too long!). Please can you help?

Adding your location would help as this is a multinational forum with members spread across many countries.

Also saying how much you are looking for money wise (if anything at all) would be good and how soon you need the fish to be re homed.

What is the puffer like with larger fish? I have a very large tank being built next month (around 900 gallons) and if you can wait until mid october may be able to offer it a home but it would have to be able to cope with life with a near 30" silver arowana and several other large fish.

lol what do u want us to do buy you a new tank?,go down to your lfs and get a huge tank or ask if they know any custom tank builders, call them and make plans

Hi there, i'm completely new to forums like this but I had already tried most of the aquariums and sealife centres to see if they could help (they couldn't) and this was my last hope.

I live in Brighton, UK (I thought I put this on my profile but obviously not), I would be happy to give puff free of charge to anyone who has a big enough tank to house him. He loves attention and i have grown very attached to him over the 6.5 years that i have had him, so i only want whats best for him.

He is in a tank with minimal fish at the mo (due to space) - 3 yellow malawi cichlids, 8 zebra danios, 1 flying fox. The fish that he would be compatible with would have to be lively and not stupid enough to swim into his mouth as he is very opportunistic and will eat others!! With regards to being in with bigger fish i'm not sure how he would cope......but......if there is enough space and he has his own patch of gravel to sit on i think he would be ok.

I will try to work out how to get pictures on so bare with me...

My new tank will have a floor area of 48 square feet so i should imagine he can find somewhere in that to call his own, but its not being built until the 20th of September and then it will be 2 weeks before i can put water into it and another week after that for the temperature of the tank to reach the desired figure which puts us into the middle of October.

If you can wait another 8 weeks to move him then i'd be more than happy to try him with my other large fish.
