Hi all, i hope this is the right place to post, I'm new here! And hope it's ok to ask about little frogs.

Just a little concern my partner and I have, we recently got two gold albino frogs for my mother in law, they have been fine for 4weeks. Last week we transferred them to a larger tank with new gravel and there's a piece of treated driftwood in tank too. One of the frogs is absolutely fine but the other has bloated right up and we're not sure what to do! We phoned Dobbies and they said clean tank out but we've done that, and perhaps move him to other tank incase it's an infection. A local petshop has offered to check our water if we bring a sample in, which we'll also do.

Has anyone heard of anything like this and has any suggestions?

Any help is greatly appreciated,
Laura

Hi Lrennie :)

Welcome to the forum! :hi:

I'm going to move your thread to our Invertebrates, Amphibians & Aquatic Reptiles section. Perhaps someone will recognize the problem and offer suggestions about what to do.

Is it an aquatic African Clawed Frog?

I'm not sure, they were just called gold albino frogs in Dobbies

I don't know how to add an image so I made the frog my profile photo! It's an extremely small photo of the frog, not very clear either sorry!

The frog has just died, it had bloated up to nearly 4 times it's size as if full of water. red botches on its leg. Sis in law says in mite be red leg disease? which i know nothing about
