Can you help me.
I bought a 10g uk tank Jan 13th cycled it with 3 fish in (sorry didnt know any better) Thought it was fine now find PH is 9 the shop sold me PH down so put that in.
It has plants in it.Amm 0 Nitrite 0.1 I have been changing the water every 3 days.Putting in fresh start and filter start.I have 3 platties and 2 apple snails.Have been feeding snails on veg, could this make the PH high?
Thanks for any help :S

test your taps water you might have a high ph tap water, I do.... the only real way of lowering the ph is to add bog wood. it'll turn the water brown for a while but it'll help.

a pH of 9 is quite high, but before doing anything,I'd get a second opinon on the results.
did you test it yourself? if so get the lfs to test it, if the otherway round test it yourself.

click on the water link in my sig for a basic start to water chemistry, it'll give you some pointers on how to lower the pH naturally
