Ive recently replanted my tank as ive been struggling like mad to get plants to last.

Ive added 10 Vallis and about 8 amazon swords as well as the fern on the bog wood. The tank is 25 gallons and is running 2 18w T8 bulbs.

Im currently using 10mil of API leaf zone every 2 days and after every water change im using feed tablets around the plants.

Ive got a Nutrafin CO2 kit going with homemade yeast mix (from the C02 thread) which has been going for few weeks.

However im still getting plants going brown and holes appearing in the leaves.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Rob

it could be melt (changing to the water conditions, or from out of water leaves to in water leaves ) is it your swords which have the holes in the leaves ? ... id take the browning leaves off (when they are fully brown or close to it) and leave the roots / any non browning leaves on them.

how long have the plants been in there for?

I'm pretty sure you need an all in one fert as your lighting is pretty good and CO2 is being injected but your missing N or P I swear leaf zone doesn't contain these or one of these? Someone else might be able to confirm that.

nitrogen and potassium there elements

as i said they might be switching leaves although it could be a lack of chemicals

Did some readings on the tank tonight.

KH is 12 and PH is 7.0 which gives me CO2 of about 30 ish.

Noticed since of took the picture at the top of this thread some of the leaves have actually grown and almost touching to top of the water level. Weird how some are growing great and others going brown.

Where do i get the right ferts?

Doesn't work like that.
That's assuming that the pH is that level purely because of carbonic acid (CO2 dissolved in water) however there will be plenty of compounds in the water effecting pH.
Have a read.
