Hi, everybody,
First off, I'd like to thank all those members who have been so patient with so many of my stupid and noob questions. Your help has been invaluable and I'm sure I'd be in much worse shape if not for your helpful suggestions!
Here's the situation. He has a 20g with a pair of Jack Depseys ANDa pair of firemouth cichlids. He's constructed a couple of caves on opposite sides of the tank, and so far everyone seems to be getting along fine. Yes, I know at least the JDs will outgrow this tank, but my husband's of a mind that once that happens, we'll just find them another home.
Then he suggested maybe just putting them in my 55g! Yikes! Look at my sig to see what I have in there now!
Anyway, does anyone have suggestions as to what I can do for these guys in the meantime? I think the temp should be kept at the lower end of their range to keep them from getting too aggressive, right? I would never have gotten these guys to put in a 20g, but once my hubby gets a thought like this in his head it's impossible to talk him out of it. How long do you think before the JDs will be too big for this tank?
