OH MY LORD!!!!!!! im totaly stumped, i closed a tank down some weeks back i had 2 mollies males and a few neons and 3 danios, they are all doing ok in a larger tank now. i have just come to clear it away as ive had it sat in the outside loo for the past few weeks half full of water when i knelt down i spotted 5 fry inside it!!!! the water hasnt been heated at all ive no idea what they are they are not anything nasty live larvre but are the same size as those mozzy laver they are deffo fish and have a irridecance to them too they are very thin though not at all like the fry i have in the big tank im worried now what should i do with them? can i resque them....what the F are they? dont have a camersa to take photos but they are deffo fish and small, so wondering if they might be neon fry? please help i dont want my suprise babies to die on me they are micro tiny if i had any idea that ide of had fry in the tank it would still be running OH ek help!!!!!!

Could be neons if they are irridescent.
Can you set up the tank again?
Put the babies in a bowl of the water they are in and scrub the tank out and set it up with a sponge filter or a pwer filter with a stocking end over the intake tied on with elastic bands.
Get the tank up to 26c and then put the babies in it with plenty of plant cover. You will need to feed them as their egg sacs will have gone now so get some food for egg layers and get the baby brine shrimp going.
You can also feed them frozen bbs but just a little at a time as it rots obviously a lot quicker than live.

the tank i closed down that the babies are from was the 7.5 hex, the filter medium will be trash now wont it as it hasnt been in water for ages ive scavenged the media already from the big tank to place in the goldies tank when i had a big disaster there and i wouldnt of thought the new sponges would have enough bacteria in them to stave off nastys as yet ( i replace alternate sponges dont thing the new ones will support the big tank alone if i take out more may be im wrong though) i placed them in a bucket while i scrubbed out the hex tank with water from my main tank hoping that the tempreture difference didnt kill them off then placed them in a net breeder in the big tank, i have lots of Mollie fry in the big tank but not seperated .Do you think i can put all the fry in together? so im feeding in one place and not 4? or will the tiny fry suffer from being in with the larger fry? food compeating etc to be honnest they almost look small enough for the mollie fry to eat themselves :S the possible neon fry are apx 3-4mm have a green irridecence on there heads when the light is on them the rest of them looks brown but they are skinny and i cant see much through the netting, i have got some liquifry1 i cant locate any bbs only large ones which dwarf them  but because of feeding more oftern with all fry it would be wiser to reset up the tank as i dont want fouling of water to make every thing else sick the hex tank has a trickle filter and a medium i have nt come accross befor i think its carbon in a polly bag with a sponge and bio balls like i said i think that medium is useless now though
ive looked on the net for photos of fry to see if i can identify them with no luck no one seems to have a photo of neon fry, was searching till my eyes where sore to no avail i guess im going to have to wait till they are bigger to identify them. to be honnest it is only 2 possibilities the silver tips but was told they where lads! didnt id them myself as i trusted my shop or the neons and silver tips ante irridecent at least not green any way. so to cut a long story short, do you think i can put all fry in the hex together? keep them in the net breeder in main tank? set up hex for 4 babies? and has any one got a picture of neon tetra fry??
