Help Eith This Cycle And Another

I have one small tank cycling at the moment and have another tank setup with no water just filter tanks ect i am waiting on the small one cycling before i set up the big one can i put the foam pads from the big one into the water in the small tank and when its done put then back in the filter with big tank

No, you won't get any significant bacterial growth just by leaving the media in the tank.

If you can, I'd suggest that you put both filters, running, in the larger tank and cycle them both together in there. Then you can move the smaller filter back to the smaller tank.

I cant do that also i tought bacteria grew on the surface of things so if i leave the media of other one in tank doesnt that make another surface

Only a very small amount of bacteria grow on surfaces, not enough to fully cycle the media.

Yeah i know that but will it speed it up when cycling the big tank

I honestly doubt it would help that much. Could you put some of the larger filter's media in the smaller filter and cycle it in there? That would kickstart the cycle on the big tank for sure.

Cheers ill do that also i am going to add a piece of wood from the tank when it is cycles and some fake plants mayber some gravel
