In my boys devided tank that I have only a few months (about 3) ago set up I have recently been finding tiny little white worms all over the glass
Are they a paracite thats come in with live plants?
Or what could they have come from?
I cant get a pic as they are just too small to focus on with my rubbish camera
How do I get rid of them without doin any harm to fish or plants?

Any help greatly appreciated !!

I agree, sounds like planaria. I had them once. They are always present in a tank, but thrive when there is ammonia present. So you need to work on water quality to get rid of them.

COuld also be nematodes which are thinner and smaller than planarias. Very gross creatures (to me) but are harmless to fish. Usually caused by over feeding or extra decaying matter in the substrate.

They are very hard to get rid of completly( basically impossible) but you can reduce their numbers by doing lots of good gravel vacs and cutting down on feeding and removing any dead leaves.

They could also be breeding in your filter if you are seeing them flying around in the water. Giving that a good clean in old tank water would also be helpful.

I had a bad bad bad case of them in a 65G tank that almost put me off of fishkeeping for good but instead I just sold the 65 and started over on a smaller tank.

Ok so I took some up to my local fish store and they came out with the same answer as Just Another One so.... Ive brought two breeding nets for the boys to sit in the top of the girls tank and Im going to strip it (the tank) and boil it all then I will use some of the filter media from the girls tank and half the water to re setup the boys tank also I wanted to change the filter so this will give me chance too

Thanks for the advice!!
