I don't know whats wrong with her.. She had been nipped on her tail so was finding swimming a little hard anyway but I have looked today and seen her like this.. All her scales are rough looking and seem to be sticking up as you can see on the pic and her top fin seems to be rotting..

Does anybody know what is it or what I could do to help ?? I have put a treatment of 'King British Original Formula WS3' in, it is a white spot terminator but says on the bottle it is an 'effective treatment for fish with external parasites inc white spot, Costia & trichodina'.

Please help me.. !!!

How many gallons is the tank.
What are your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Is the stocking still the same in your sig.

She looks in bad shape.
Any excess mucas on the body or gills of the fish.
Does she flick and rub.
Get a magifying glass to see if you can see anything under the scales.
Has she got any bigger in the tummy area over the last few days.
What does it look like when she goes to the toilet.
Every lost any fish to bent spines or going thin.

Don't add meds till you know what you are treating for.

The tank is 125 litres, and no i lost some so went and bought some more iv got a few more guppys, 2 small silver sharks, 2 swordtails and lost my shrip, got rid of kribs.
Theres no extra mucas and she's not flicked or rubbed.. I haven't got a magnifying glass but cant see that there is anything under there, her tummy may have got a little bigger but im not certain.. there are two poo's in the trap (i think) one is small, rounded and a grey/white colour (I THINK its poo) and the other is long and redish but we do feed them bloodworm.

Ive not lost any fish to bent spines or going thin before...

Your tanks overstocked.

Bala sharks, silver sharks need 100 gallon tanks and should be kept in less than a group of 3.

I would take the parasite med out with a water change and run some black carbon.
If it was parasites she would be flicking and rubbing and maybe excess mucas.

I would try a bacterial med on her.
Does her anus look enlarged.
Slow swelling and raised scales can be also fish tb. But don't panic it might not be that.

What would the black carbon do ??

Her anus does not look enlarged i cant see any swelling... :-(

Ok.

Keep a look out for signs of flicking and rubbing, excess slime or mucas, darting, erratic swimming, laboured breathing or gasping.

Black carbon removes the med from the tank.

ok thanks will do..

Iv been reading on the internet and have found 'Swim bladder' and information of bacterial infections.. Which do you think its more likely to be/sounding like ??

I wondering if she swelling up gradually and it making her scales stick out abit.
Also parasites can lift the scales but I asked some questions and it dosn't sound like parasites.
If it was just a full scales raised she could of knocked them on ornaments.
Does her skin look like its peeling away.

Swim bladder signs are.
Long stringy white poo.
Unable to maintain balance in the water. leaning to one side when swimming, turn upside down, tail looks like it weighing them down in the water, fish will look bloated.

Also I would get your water tested.

I havent seen any long white stringy poo but she was swimming with her tail down as you said..

That might because her tail fins are tatty and she unable to keep balance.
Feed her some peas.
Get the med out of the tank.
I suppose you can't issolate her to a hosptial tank and use a bacterial med.

Once guppys tail fins get to that state they rarely make it.

ok thanks I will do the water change and will try to get some peas in.. do i just put the peas in or do i need to cut them ??

I have got her in a breeding trap at the moment.. she is still eating and does move around/have a little swim...

Cook frozen peas in boiling water for a few minutes. Let cool down and pop out of shell. Mush into small peices and feed.
Give some to the other fish aswell.
You must pop pea out of shell as fish can't digest the shell.

okay thank you.. I will do that..Will that make her any better if it is that ??

I would feed peas twice a week as it keep the fish going to the toilet.

With losing her tail fins it causing her to not maintain balance to well in the water.
The peas won't harm it flushes the fish through. There good for constipation.

would it help the state shes in now.. with her scales ??
