i had 3 goldfish quarantined ( the really cheap kind) and surprisingly they seem disease free, however, like an idiot, i tried my luck again and bought 2 more. the 2 new ones are both diseased. i think they have parasites, ive seen stringy poo, labored breathing, erratic swimming.

one i removed and quarantined in a different tank, the other is now lying on its side on the tank bottom breathing heavily. i want to euthanize him but i have no means to and its late on a sunday night. i do not have clove oil. any ideas? i have to do something!

Stringy poo can also be a sign of internal bacteria
If it's not already dead, try some bacterial meds as new, ill fish don't usually have parasites. Keep an eye on both fish and keep them quarantined for at least a week after they've recovered.
To euthanise you can also use the anaesthetic overdose method with alka seltzer. Check the internet for dosage. In an extreme situation you can also use freezing water but it's quite cruel
I hope they survived, and good luck!

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Laboured breathing and erratic swimming can mean.
Bad water quality, ph shock, parasites, the fish is dying, toxins.
