Help!!!
I bought three breeding pairs of Red Turks last month they all settled down nicley in their seperate cubes.
Last night the mail of one pair started to basicly headbutt the female all round the tank. He has carried on all day today & she just hides in the corner. Should I split them up?or is this normal?is it part of a breeding ritual?what do I do

How many gallons is the tank, plus water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, i doubt its normal behaviour, if she hiding and stressed, i would split them up.

Hi Wilder, they are in an 18" cube (80lts) in RO with added minerals PH 6.5 Nitrate 00 dont know the ammonia & Nitrate but I have been doing a 25% water change daily

Sounds like it cramped and they are getting aggressive.

I'l give it till the morning & if he is still at it I will put them in a 3' tank & see if it stops if not then I will split them up. She has laid eggs once last week but they ate them

I would do a google search on them as finding they need larger tanks, when fish get cramped they can become aggressive to one another.
