ok i woke up this morning and my little male krib has a nasty white area (fungus maybe?) on his mouth, and also it looks like some reddening of the anal area. doesnt seem to be feeding as vigourously as usual. Whats wrong with him? anyone know what meds are necessary

Water parameters are all hunky dory (all the colours are where they should be on my testing kit and my ph level is stable at 7.2.) could they be injury through a fight with another fish?

Is his tummy bloated.
If there white fluff on his mouth its columnaris.
Red inflamed anus can be dropsy to internal parasites.
What does it look like when he goes to the toilet.

i have watched him for a while and he doesn't seem to want to poo. i have moved him into another tank, he was in a tank with some bigger boys so i got him out before they got wind of his suffering. the white seems to be going down, his mouth seems to be deformed, (not dissimilar to one of my other cichlids who also died.) i wonder if they picked a fight with the wrong fish? but that doesnt explained the anal problem. also it looks like his gills are a bit red. plus i had noticed his gills were going a deep shade of purple for a while, i figured he was just presenting to rival males. i dont know.

he is labouring now aswell.

i fear the worst,

Is there enough aeration in the tank.
Hows the fish breathing, is it laboured or is he gasping at the top of the tank.
Does the fish look skinny or bloated.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing.
Any excess mucas on gills or body of the fish.
Can you post your water stats.
