Ok will probably be getting a new 5 gallon in the next couple of days and moving my betta into it once its ready.

I was thinking of just having a carpet of java moss across the gravel, a piece of driftwood or bogwood as a centrepiece (maybe with some anubias growing on it) and some java fern as the background.

What you guys think?

If you have any other suggestions it would be great, need plants that will do well in low light and don't need much looking after to keep them alive.

It sounds nice.
I have found that Anubias do really well and your Betta should really like it. Java fern is also another good choice.
It sounds like you've pretty much got it worked out!

i've never tried anubias, too expensive, but from experience, java ferns have been the only thing to thrive in my low-light tanks. somethings survive, but definately don't look their best. like vallis.

Sounds like you have everything figured out :good: That will be a gorgeous tank when you're done! Can't wait to see pictures! :hyper:
