We have 6 zebra danios in our tank and four sunburst platies, one male betta and two spotted corys. A few days ago, I noticed that someone had been nipping at the platy's tail, so I thought it might be the male betta, so I took him out and put him back in his betta bowl so I could watch and see if I saw any further nipping.
Tonight when I came home, the platy was swimming around the tank and the zebra danios were taking turns nipping at his tail. I didn't think danios were aggressive, especially since they are in a school of 6.
So, the betta is happier now, because I put him back in the aquarium, but what should I do about the platy that is being nipped at? And why are they only picking on that one fish?
Thanks for your help!
