Help! Crowntial Betta With Fin Rot

Ive had a lovely male crowntial since may last year with no problems at all. I noticed a couple of weeks ago that his fins wernt looking normal. It turns out hes got fin rot, so i started treating it with interpret anti fungal & fin rot treatment plus water changes every other day insted of every 3 days which is what ive been doing with all my other bettas 10+ and no other except for my halfmoon have suffered the same syptoms expcept hes not as bad as my CT.


Ever since i started treament about a week ago the fin rot seems to have got worse and his fins look even more tatty and its started to spread slightly onto his body than before and he doesnt look in a very good way.

Ive stopped the anti fin rot treatment so insted im going to use aquarium salt to see if that helps.

Can anyone PLEASE advise on how to treat this or if anyone has had the same things happen before? Id hate to lose the little fella. All my other fish in my room are fine by the way.

I never test my water as i keep lots and lots of fish for over a year now and they are all doing great, breeding etc. So im pretty sure its not the water.

I narrowed it down to poor water quality but its just the crowntail that seems to be suffering, i cant understand it.

Well unless you test your water,you won't know stress can also bring on various diseases into the tank....

Thanks. Im thinking its not stress because hes in his own space and i have alot of other bettas kept this way that are thriving.

It seems to have got worse since i started using the fin rot treatment or could this be the med working aznd killing off all the rotted fins ? I have stoped using it, all im doing now is water changes.
