Hello, I have 4 blue acaras and have owned them for about a month and a half now. Have been feeding them on a good varied diet and they have grown quickly and all looked healthy, until yesterday when one began sitting on the bottom, refusing to eat and hiding in a cave.
This is unusual as normally its always swimming to the top for food and interacting with the others. I did a 30% water change that day, and have been doing so every week since I got them. It has gone a strange dark colour, with a blotchy kind of appearance, and when it does swim around appears to be bumping into things as if it can't see.
These are the first cichlids I have owned and I have never seen this kind of reaction before, is there anything I can do and does anyone know if this will spread to the other fish? If there is anyone who has more experience with this or any suggestions please help!
