Hello

My male Egyptian mouth brooders is chasing the female quite a bit. And the female is looking really agitated and hides in the corner really close to the surface. I just put 3 flowerpots in the tank for caves. But at the moment she isn't taking any notice of them.

How much chasing is to much? There not fighting, just the male chases the female alot. Shall i just leave them, i was hoping to breed them...When the other tanks ready i could move the female? But then they wont breed...

Help!

Thanks

That is too much chasing. Separate her from him but in the same tank. The male will be interested in whats going on and why he cant get to her. Then once shes got herself together and the male doesnt act so aggressively towards her in her confinment then release her and see what happens. I did this with my sajica cichlids and it worked.
