Alright, today I got home and noticed that my nitrates has been increasing in the last two days. Right now I have two johannii's in there. I did a 50% water change after the tank was cycled. Now my question is if I want to do a 25% water change when do I add the declorinator. Do I put it in the tank with 75% of water and then add the remaining 25%? Right now I'm using the Python to remove and add the water to the tank. If someone could provide me any helpful information, I would greatly appreciate it.

I usually just squirt it in as it fills. I've added it before, during, and after, haven't seen any difference. I wouldn't wait too long after filling to add it, as the chlorine & chloramine in tap water will begin to affect the fish and bio filtration.

same here. one thing I would suggest to you is to use a syphon to do the water changes, I think its damn right cruel to use a python. LOL
