I've got a young black moor and today noticed a white patch over his eye bubble!! is this normal or is it a disease. really need help dont know what it is and what treatment it needs. it looks like he has a couple of scales missing but surely they dont have scales on their eye bubbles. dont know if they are called eye bubbles or not!!

HELP

So its a cloudy eye?
If so then its probably due to water parameters being off. Check your ammonia and nitrites, and do a water change.
Could he have bumped it on something?

he looks like he has abit missing looking closely it looks more silver than white. the cat had been having a fish in the tank earlier till i spotted him and scared him off dont know if he might of caught his eye???
should i seperate him from my other fish or is it just an injury??
just fed them and he is swimming around chasing his food in the current of the filter so he is fine in himself but just worried about his little patch.
there are no spots on my other fish and no more any where else on him!!

You should get your tank cat proofed or he will have one out of there. Sounds like the cat may have caught the eye so maybe get some melafix to aid healing and keep your water in good condition.

the new tank is cat proof now they were in a temporary home while there tank was set up so he cant get in anymore he just sits next to the tank staring at them.
they love dancing and playing in front of him to annoy him its very funny as they know he cant get them!!!
thanks will get some of that later will the melafix hurt the other fish in the tank???

No, the other fish will be ok.

just had a good look at him at 'tea time' and he seems to be losing scales all over his body bits on his sides and his beely has gone more silvery than black he is still perfectly happy in himself but woried my fancy might be bullying him not seen them be anything but nice to each other tho.
he has really tatty fins and tail, one fin has a small hole in it. he had this when i got him think he was bullied in the lfs as tank was seriously overcrowded. didn't have the heart to take him back didn't want him getting bullied again could this be a sign of disease!!!
Argh just sorted their tank out so they are happy and now this!!

You need to test your water immediately for ammonia and nitrite.

There are a number of causes for scale loss but first we must start at water quality.

Also how big is the tank, filtration on it and how often and how are you doing water changes.

Can you get a pic of the fish?
